The First Day

Well, I made it through the first day. Everyone seemed nice. It is definitely a small press, however. The space is much more open than JWS, if you can believe it. And the there are only 2 bathrooms (i.e., one-stallers) for the entire press. The marketing department is a whopping total of 12. The guy who had my job will be here until September and is training me. That is a nice perk, actually. My boss is collaborative and supportive. Overall, it will be a good way to get back to fundamentals. But, I confess that I feel in exile from JWS. Not that I think I shouldn't have left, because it was the right thing to do. I just feel surreal about it all. All in all, though, a good first day.
